How can training Meditation and Mindfulness help your organisation?

Science research shows that a regular meditation practice makes positive physiological changes to our brain – meaning it creates both physical as well as psychological changes. It’s why meditation is like a gym workout for the mind! And whilst many of the traditional images of meditation show people sitting in a Zen-like garden being fully relaxed, actually our training is not focused on space travelling people to some other place of beauty and calm, its about enabling them to meet their experience with that same level of calm exactly where they are moment by moment. Our courses have proven to help people be much more successful and fulfilled in the workplace because they have learned techniques to help manage their stress as well as practices to help them remain more objective and be responsive rather than reactive in challenging situations.

  • Employee engagement and wellbeing go hand in hand. Happy, motivated people create immense value for the organisations where they work, but when employees aren’t feeling good, it’s hard for them to stay engaged at work. It’s far easier for people to feel engaged when their organisation makes efforts to support and grow their wellbeing. Providing your people with the opportunity to join our 8-week training program or attend one of our workshops will help improve their mental health, reduce their stress and increase their overall level of wellbeing, it will make them feel valued and genuinely cared for and is a great way to help them and your organisation to thrive.

  • Poor mental health is costing UK employers £29 billion in reduced productivity every year.* People’s mental health is increasingly impacted as they try to navigate higher levels of change and uncertainty than they’ve had to face before. Now we’re told that change and uncertainty are being pushed to one side to make way for the new challenges of impermanence and volatility and the results for our mental health are set to be even more messy. Your people need to be highly adaptive, meaning they need to learn, unlearn and relearn at the speed of change so they can thrive. Faced with impermanence as a new philosophical challenge your people need to develop the essence of their “how to” skills: how to manage themselves, how to manage their emotions, and how to manage their thinking. These aspects of learning make up some of the central flavours of our training that’s resulted in 97% of participants in 2022 saying that they feel more resilient. *Deloitte Mental health and employers: refreshing the case for investment, 2020

  • Science research shows that for 47% of our lives we’re simply not paying attention to what’s going on around us. Imagine, you’re not actually present for almost half of your life experiences, instead you’re operating on what’s termed as ‘autopilot’. The impact of this is felt deeply as people are distracted, lost in brain fog or experiencing low mood states, perhaps feeling stressed or irritable and even with deadlines looming they sometimes find it difficult to pull themselves away from the distraction of scrolling news and social media channels. These mind states are a reflection of our fluid state of attention, which is experienced as depleted, hijacked, fragmented or disconnected and results in serious and negative impacts on the quality of your life. Developing the quality of attention is a skill that can be trained through our courses. 95% of course participants in 2022 have found that the quality of their attention and focus at work has improved, meaning that they’re more productive and feel great too!

  • Being smart at work is no longer so much defined by what you know or by how much you know, but by the quality of your thinking, listening, relating, and collaborating skills. Our training can powerfully support your people to generate positive emotions, manage negative emotions as well as perceive and respond to any unconscious bias. Our training helps people see how by putting people first they can have more meaningful conversations, create real collaboration across difference and forge relationships and exceptional teamwork in work environments that demand a more human centred and compassionate approach.

I feel less frustrated with others – I listen to people more and I have learned to be more cool headed.

Why work with me?

My vision is to start a movement that delivers more equanimity and compassion in our workplaces so people bring the best and most positive version of themselves to work. What do I mean by that? The best version of ourselves? Mastery of the self is key – it means having a quiet ego, a wise mind, a calm and quiet body, and a positive emotional state.

Through my work as a Workplace Change Manager for over 12 years I’ve seen first hand how cultures and behaviours can support or dismantle people’s ability to bring their whole selves or best version of themselves to work.

For me helping others to understand and manage their emotions and experiences so that they can thrive is my life’s work. I like to think I make things exciting. I have passion and infectious enthusiasm for my work and my love for storytelling makes my training and workshops fun and interesting. I’m empathetic to others’ emotions and deeply engage and connect with everyone I work with in a way that inspires them to make meaning and create value from our work together.
